Droplets…that’s how progress has been this winter. Between my job as a snow-plow operator and life in general, working on the Quest has been squeezed into the spaces in between and progress has come in…droplets.

But that’s going to change in the next few weeks as I transition from plow operator to seed hauler and then to….WRITER. Yay!

Yep, summer is my favorite time of year because I get to write full time and this summer I get to write Drop of Water. All winter I’ve been jotting notes on index cards and watching deep sea documentaries in my quest to provide you with the funnest water world possible.

Okay, I admit it. I would watch the documentaries anyway, even if the next episode didn’t take place in a water world. I’m weird like that. I love documentaries. In fact, this morning I watched two documentaries about Egyptian mummies…just for the fun of it. But I digress…

I’m very excited to get to work on Drop of Water so that I can find out what’s going to happen next to our heroes on the Quest! Yes, it’s true. I don’t pre-plan everything. I have the core plot mapped out, but I like to leave the details up to my muse…and the characters themselves. Sometimes they tell me what they’re going to do next, instead of the other way around. In fact, I had no idea Luka was going to grab the Jax’s antennae like he did in Dust of Earth. He just did it and then I sat back and laughed in surprise because it was just so perfect.

So, I hope you’ll check back often to see what’s new in the Quest because now that I have a blog right here on the website, I’ll be sure to pop in and give you some hints from time to time.

Oh, and please, if you like the website, leave a comment because Melissa has been working hard to pull it all together for me, because I wouldn’t even know where to start. No really, I’m clueless. That’s me. Techno-moron from the word go. If it wasn’t for Melissa and the other Honorary Guardians, I’d still be writing stories that no one ever gets to read. So, it’d be really cool if you’d take a moment to give her a thumbs up. 🙂
